After much frustration with directions and help on Facebook I decided to layout some instructions for a couple of common tasks
Here are instructions for creating links to your Facebook pages.
Face book calls this stuff Widgets and a qucik way of getting there is to go here http://www.facebook.com/facebook-widgets
Below are more detailed instructions of how to find your pages once created and then add one of the 'widgets'
Creating a Profile Badge
1. Login to your facebook.com account
2. Either use the link above to go to the widgets page or Click Profile (across the top white on blue)
3. Click Create Profile Badge (bottom of left column)
4. Click Edit Badge and you have the following choices
Layout :
Vertical
Horizontal
2 Columns
Items to include in your badge:
Profile pic
Name
Networks
Hometown
Current City
Email
Screen name
Birthday
Mobile number
Websites
Status updates
Recent pics by me
Upcoming events
Latest notes
Posts
5. Check the boxes you want and then click SAVE
6. Now if you have a blogger or type pad account choose those by clicking the appropriate icon otherwise click OTHER , copy the code in the box that is displayed and paste it into your website or send it to your web site designer to paste for you.
Creating a page:
If you are the official representative of a celebrity or public figure, band, business, or other organization, you can create a Page here http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php to represent your organization on Facebook.
Creating an Ad or Adding a Fan box
1. Login to your facebook.com account
2. Click Profile (across the top white on blue)
3. Click Info (underneath your name second tab after Wall)
4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see all the "Pages" that you are a fan of, click your own page
5. There are two types of links that you can create links are on the left under Edit Page
Promote your page with an AD (This is similar to Google Adwords and you have to pay)
Add a fan box to your site (this is free)

Follow the prompts now to create an Ad, Choose your page for the facebook content, the Title will already be entered, use the existing Body Text or change the words to your own, if you have already uploaded a logo to your page it will be in the ad otherwise you can add an image of your own by browsing your computer (be sure that the size of the image is appropriate ie best for web is 72dpi and probably around 100x100px) Click Continue
Targeting - Fill out the fields appropriately the Estimated audience along with your pricing will change accordingly
I highly recommend clicking continue so that you can see the pricing and adjust your targeting with it in view.
Campaigns and Pricing
Most of this is self explanatory and there is help on the right hand side
When you Click Create you will be asked to enter your credit card info.
Add a fan box to your site:
This is similar to adding a profile badge, once you have clicked 'Add a fan box ' simply select the page you want to use and then choose whether or not you want to show a stream of posts and whether or not you want to show the number of fans.
Now if you have a blogger or type pad account choose those by clicking the appropriate icon otherwise click OTHER , copy the code in the box that is displayed and paste it into your website or send it to your web site designer to paste for you.
